Stage Nine Exhibitions returns to the Hawaiian Islands with our completely re-imagined Expedition: Dinosaur exhibit.

We are very proud to announce the opening of Expedition: Dinosaur at The Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Expedition: Dinosaur has had an interesting history at Stage Nine Exhibitions and has undergone a near constant evolution toward its current form.

Stage Nine team members had, for many years, wanted to create a dinosaur-themed exhibit, we knew that the time was right to enter the dinosaur exhibit arena, as dinosaur popularity is at an all-time high, but we also knew that we needed to distinguish ourselves from other dinosaur exhibits that we out there.

While we knew that the time was right to design and build a dinosaur exhibit, we were faced with a challenge -  Most dinosaur exhibits touring at the time focused solely on the science of dinosaurs (which we acknowledge is a critical and necessary part of the dinosaur exhibit equation).

However, we wanted to also include the sense of adventure that came during the time of the Bone Wars. The Bone Wars, (also known as the Great Dinosaur Rush), was a period of intense and ruthlessly competitive fossil hunting and discovery during the Gilded Age of American history.

When it comes to science, we knew that there was no room to skimp so we brought on a full-time paleontologist, Tom Williamson, (Curator of Paleontology at the New Mexico Museum of History and Science), to the exhibit to lend his expertise, knowledge, and personal experience to the exhibit.

Stage Nine’s exhibit designers knew that they wanted to design an exhibit that was more than a traditional dinosaur show. They wanted to create a fully immersive experience with realistic environments, interactive elements and a sense of authenticism that other dinosaur shows lack.
We are proud to introduce our fully re-imagined Expedition: Dinosaur exhibit for its opening at The Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

With future stops at the Grand Rapids Public Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan and The Museum of Science and History in Jacksonville, Florida and many others, Expedition: Dinosaur is quickly becoming Stage Nine Exhibition’s most popular and most booked exhibit!
