Who we are

Stage 9 Exhibits is a leader in creating, building, and touring educational exhibits designed to captivate and engage audiences of all ages. With over two decades of experience, our exhibits blend cutting-edge technology, interactive displays, and rich storytelling to deliver memorable, immersive experiences. Our exhibitions, ranging from science to pop culture, are tailored to museums, science centers, and special events worldwide. Known for our flexibility and attention to detail, Stage 9 Exhibits ensures each exhibit meets the highest standards while sparking curiosity and learning.

How We Work With Museums

At Stage 9 Exhibits, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional, one-on-one customer service, setting the standard in the traveling exhibit industry. From the very first conversation to deinstallation, our team works closely with each client, ensuring seamless compatibility with venue space, providing robust marketing and logistics support, and managing every detail in between. We understand that each museum or science center has unique needs, and we tailor our services to meet those requirements at every step.

One of our key strengths is the speed and efficiency of our installations and deinstallations. What might take weeks for others, we accomplish in just 3-4 days. This is thanks to our custom-built exhibits, designed specifically for easy transport and quick setup. Moreover, we minimize the need for excess storage space, allowing our clients to maximize their venue’s available space while keeping logistics costs down.

We continue our support long after installation, offering personalized, one-on-one technical assistance via our help desk. Our dedicated build and technical team is available for real-time troubleshooting, with a guaranteed response to all inquiries within 24 hours.

Our Design Process

At Stage 9 Exhibits, every exhibition begins with an original concept envisioned by our founder, Troy Carlson. With a deep passion for pop culture and entertainment, Troy taps into nostalgic themes, weaving them into compelling narratives that engage audiences. Once a concept is chosen, our in-house design team collaborates to bring it to life, from ideation through to intricate detailing. Every element is carefully crafted in our Sacramento production facility, utilizing cutting-edge technology and hands-on artistry. This comprehensive build process, spanning 9 to 12 months, ensures that every exhibit is both visually stunning and immersive.

Once completed, our exhibits don’t just sit still—they travel. Embarking on tours across North America and often beyond, they bring the excitement of interactive learning to audiences far and wide. From intimate science centers to massive cultural institutions, our exhibits are designed to fit in almost any space and captivate visitors of all ages.

OUR CORE VALUE:

To create unforgettable, immersive experiences that captivate audiences of all ages: sparking curiosity, discovery, and a passion for learning.

Troy Carlson, CEO

“The greatest reward is watching the moment an exhibit clicks—when a young visitor's eyes light up with a new, 'I get it!' understanding. We don't just build structures; we build sparks.”
